Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has formally declared his intention to contest for the Adamawa North Senatorial seat, stating that his decision is in direct response to the call by the people of the zone.
The governor said he heeded the growing demand from constituents and stakeholders who have urged him to step forward and continue serving at the national level. He described the move as a duty driven by collective interest rather than personal ambition.




Fintiri expressed deep appreciation to respected leaders and political stakeholders across the five local government areas, with special recognition to Senator Amos Yahaya for his role and support in the process.
He noted that the trust placed in him strengthens his commitment to deliver greater service, sustained development, and lasting peace across Adamawa North.
The governor assured that his senatorial ambition is focused on continuity and impact, promising to build on existing progress while expanding opportunities that will improve the lives of the people in the zone.
